Our WHY

My name is Kate Sneddon , I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I created the Helios project to help correct a problem I consistently see my athletes facing. Our health care system is failing people that have had Anterior Cruciate Ligament repairs (ACLers).

This is a BIG problem. And WE aim to do better. Most physical therapy ends before you are ready to return to your normal activities. Physical therapy may not even prepare you for your transition to sports and high level activity. Part of the problem is that insurance does not consider your ability to run, jump with confidence, hike, climb, or workout necessary for daily life. But here at the Helios Project, we know that your ability to perform is intrinsic to living a fulfilling life, and we want to help.

We know mental well being is tied closely to physical function, and this injury may have made you feel not yourself.

The Helios Project is a wellness and performance initiative aimed at tackling this daunting problem facing athletes like you. We utilize individualized online programming and virtual coaching to take the mystery out of your recovery by providing a clear path to reach your goals. Not only do we intend to maintain your strength, but enhance performance and help you reach your goals.

Why are sessions online? Any person, Any place, Any time. We are trying to help people overcome the statistics and achieve as many success stories as possible.  A barrier to success is often not having the time or a specialized coach near you, we’ve decided to break down this barrier creating a completely online training program that works on building strength, performance, and mental wellness and motivation so you come out stronger than before.

Whether there is setbacks in your recovery, feeling like you are not heard, or confusion on your next steps…Know that no matter what, Coach Kate is in your corner.
